Can we talk? FasTracKids newest addition is an early education program that teaches English as a Second or Foreign Language (ESL or EFL) to children beginning at the age of 3. By combining a communicative language approach (vocabulary and conversation exercises) and an interactive approach (opportunities in lessons for both speaking and listening), kids can start to build a basic understanding of English. A revolutionary and unique teaching method titled PIER℠ (Positive Innovative English Reinforcement) allows children to learn in a stress-free environment. FasTrack® English prepares children for standard English exams through games, songs and activities.
Children learn a second language from both a communicative language approach and interactive approach. The communicative language approach provides vocabulary and conversation exercises. These exercises enhance the student’s ability to use the English language to make requests, describe situations and express references. The interactive approach involves interactive opportunities during lessons and through our Learning Station, which reinforces practice in both listening and speaking. FasTrack English can be offered as one 90 minute class once a week or as a one hour class twice a week.
As part of the FasTrack English program, your children will participate in fun rhyme and song activities that encourage the use of vocabulary! In each lesson, children will hear stories in English that promote geographical literacy and expands their global vision by giving them an understanding of different cultures.
Each child will receive additional home activities that will allow them to practice English concepts and sustain language development. These materials provide a learning bridge from classroom to home and a foundation for future reading and writing success.
Student assessments are conducted every three months so parents can track their child’s progress.
